Clifton College has congratulated all of its pupils who received their A Level and BTEC results today, announcing, “Your hard work and dedication has truly paid off to achieve a brilliant set of results, and we couldn’t be prouder.”
Jude, who joined in the Pre-Prep and has been at Clifton College since the very beginning of his journey into education, achieved four A*s in Double Maths, Physics and Ancient Greek and is going to continue studying Mathematics at University.
Clemmie and Izzy both obtained full scholarships to go universities in America, with Clemmie planning to major in Chemistry at Princeton and Izzy majoring in Psychology with the Morehead-Cain Scholarship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Clemmie leaves for America this Saturday, and Izzy is off to New Zealand in September to take a well-earned gap year.
Poppy achieved three A*s in Maths, Chemistry and Physics and is going on to Oxford University to study Chemistry. When interviewing for Oxford she received coaching and guidance from Dr Greene who has a Doctorate in Chemistry and said she felt supported throughout the process by all teachers with any questions she had.
Deputy Head Academic, Dr Gavin Turner said, “I would like to congratulate all of our Year 13 leavers who have received their A-Level and BTEC results today. They have been a fantastic year group and as a collective they have posted a strong set of results which individually they should be very proud of. I commend them for their hard work and approach throughout the exam period, but also across the two years of study. My best wishes go with them.”
Nick Mills, Head of Sixth Form, added, “It’s wonderful to see our students fulfilling their aspirations, with the vast majority now heading to their chosen universities to embark upon a wide range of courses. It’s also great to see a record number of students winning places at leading universities overseas, notably in the US. Congratulations to all our leavers for achieving such positive outcomes and I wish them all the best for the next exciting chapter of their lives.”
