Step into the wondrous realm of space this summer, and ignite your curiosity at a local Family Space Day, a series of events for the community provided by Immersive Theatres.
The events invite families and space enthusiasts of all ages to indulge in the beauty of the Universe and exploration of the night sky.
Discover the universe’s mysteries through captivating planetarium shows led by science educator, Mario Di Maggio. Embark on a guided tour of the night sky, visit the International Space Station, journey across the Solar System and handle a famous meteorite from outer space. Prepare for awe-inspiring educational moments for the whole family.
Carefully chosen venues like Arnos Vale and Ashton Park School provide the perfect backdrop for a full-day adventure. After enjoying the planetarium shows, families can indulge in a picnic amidst the beauty of nature and explore the serene surroundings.
“By connecting the experiences of exploring the Universe and embracing the wonders of nature, individuals can develop a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of all things,” explained Mario.
“With community engagement as our top priority, ticket prices have been deliberately kept affordable to ensure inclusivity. We firmly believe that the joys of science and exploration should be accessible to everyone, regardless of financial constraints.
“When individuals engage with the vastness and beauty of the Universe in a planetarium, they often develop a profound understanding of the Earth’s place in the Cosmos. This perspective encourages a deeper appreciation for the remarkable uniqueness of our home planet.”
