Last term, Lent Term 2024, marked the pinnacle of success for Upper girls’ sports at Clifton College. The girls exhibited unparalleled dedication, resulting in an extraordinary series of achievements that set a new standard in the college’s history.
In hockey, the Girls 1st XI secured a remarkable second place finish at the England Hockey National Finals (Tier 1), the highest ever for a Clifton College U18 team. Additionally, they clinched the second position in the Independent Schools Hockey Cup, while the U16s attained a Top 8 finish in England Hockey (Tier 1).
The U15s excelled, securing a commendable third place in the Independent Schools Hockey Plate, and the U14s made it to the semi-finals of the England Hockey Tier 1 cup, finishing in the top four.
In netball, the girls dominated as undefeated netball county champions and made history by reaching the top four in Regionals South West, an achievement unprecedented in the college’s history.
Two girls’ sides showcased their skills at the prestigious Rosslyn Park National Schools 7s Rugby competition, demonstrating their versatility and talent across sports.
The girls’ football squads also enjoyed a highly successful season, engaging in a full term of weekly fixtures, further highlighting their commitment and skill on the field.
