Love Squared, a Bristol-based charity that offers support to children, young people and families impacted by mental health, is offering a series of guided walks for parents and carers of children to get into nature with a supportive group.
The walks are led by trained health practitioners and will take place at local nature trails around Bristol, including Snuff Mills, Ashton Court and Chew Valley. This is an adults-only group for parents and carers to benefit from time with those ‘who get it’.
The walks include a pit stop at a local cafe for refreshments and free transportation from Eastville Park.
The walks aim to improve wellbeing through:
- Connection with nature.
- Safe space to talk to others.
- Relaxation and mindfulness.
- Self care advice.
The walks will take place on Wednesdays and Fridays across April – October 2024. The next walks are scheduled for:
- Friday 19th April, 10-1pm
- Wednesday 1st May, 10-1pm
- Friday 17th May, 10-1pm
- Wednesday 5th June, 10-1pm
