Staff and pupils across the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) dressed up in costumes and took part in fun activities to celebrate World Book Day.
All CLF academies in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset were involved at some point this week, with each organising its own range of themed activities.
They ranged from library trips and bedtime story sessions, to talks from visiting authors, who dropped into school to talk about their books and life as a writer.
Pupils and staff also demonstrated an incredible range of creativity in their fancy dress choices, as classrooms were filled with pirates, dinosaurs, and superheroes, as well as a wide range of fairytale characters and a smattering of Harry Potters.
Beneath all the fun was a serious message, with activities organised with the main aim of promoting a love of literacy and encouraging pupils to read more.
