Bristol Rovers Community Trust has donated brand-new PE equipment to St Stephens Infants, Westbury on Trym Academy and Shield Road Primary School, to help them in providing care and education for the children of key workers.
The kit, valued at £700, was supplied by the PFA and Sports Direct, and is designed to help the schools to provide more diverse and engaging PE lessons for their pupils.
“We’re delighted to be delivering these packs to some of our partner schools over the last couple of weeks,” said Premier League Primary Stars Lead, Abbie Jones. “Key workers kids are still attending school throughout our community and we hope that the new equipment will encourage these pupils to remain active during these difficult times. Each school is committed to providing a good PE provision and I know that these kits will be fully utilised.”
Chris Banks from Westbuty On Trym Academy, added, “The kit is absolutely fantastic and we can’t thank Bristol Rovers enough for all of their help. We continue to work closely together to make sure that we’re able to provide the very best physical education for our pupils and the new kit will help us to try new, fun and exciting games to keep them engaged.”
