Slapstick’s Silent Comedy Gala at Bristol Beacon
February 16 – 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Featuring three laugh-out-loud silent comedy classics accompanied by live music, introduced and hosted by Hugh Bonneville.
The Gold Rush (1925), will be accompanied by the 15-piece Bristol Ensemble playing Chaplin’s own score, conducted by musical maestro Günter A. Buchwald. Laurel & Hardy short Big Business (1929) and Buster Keaton’s innovative short comedies, Cops (1921). 1920s clothing and costumes are optional but welcomed!
