Titanic Exhibition at Paintworks

February 12 – 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 10:00 am, repeating until 18th February 2024

Discover life aboard the Titanic (the passenger liner which sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on 15 April 1912 after hitting an iceberg) through footage of the wreckage, real objects and artefacts recovered from the seabed. The exhibition offers the chance to learn about the crew, engineers and passengers that set sail on the ship that was known as the ‘unsinkable’ as well as see artefacts from the Titanic’s sister ship, the Olympic, read stories about first, second and third class passengers, see a photographic collection from on-board passenger and survivor, Father Browne. Also on display are some props from the 1997 epic Hollywood blockbuster film including a life jacket, one of the Heart of the Ocean necklaces, Captain Smith’s teacup and saucer, plus moulding from the grand staircase set.
