Combining faith, science and art in celebration. Gaia is 1.8 million times smaller than the Earth, with each centimetre of the internally lit sculpture representing 18km of the Earth’s surface. As well as the Gaia exhibition, Bristol Cathedral are also hosting Stargazing nights in autumn, with an astronomer giving an awe-inspiring guided tour of the night sky including constellations, and the science behind the stars, with a telescope set up in the gardens to see the cosmic views. Halloween sessions to create a metal sculpture (pumpkin or spider) using their creativity and learning practical engineering skills. Sessions last 50mins; suitable for ages 8-16 years.
