Factory Studios in Bristol is offering free rehearsal sessions to bands in Bristol to help the local music industry get back on its feet – and there’s a special call out to musical mums and dads too!
The studio based in Barton Hill is welcoming back musicians and bands to its newly refurbished premises from 29 March until 11 April, equipped with air exchange systems, screens and one way systems as part of a robust COVID-19 policy designed to keep everyone safe whilst they return to regular practicing.
“We have a lot of parents who are musicians who are desperate to start playing again,” said Leon Curry, managing director at Factory Studios. “Music is so good for mental health, I feel a lot of parents (and everyone else) have struggled more in this last lockdown with trying to juggle work and family life. I have two small children, aged three and six, so appreciate the difficulties parents have had to face with home schooling, work and lack of socialising. Music is an amazing outlet to help relieve stress and anxiety.”
To book a space, email the studio at email hidden; JavaScript is required or call 0117 9525655 and mention the offer. The sessions are four hours long and include all equipment free of charge.
