News, events and schools' information for families across Bristol

Flourish Foodhall & Kitchen brings a vibrant array of food and drink suppliers into the local community for the first ever Flourish Food Festival on 22nd and 23rd June 2024 at Glenavon Farm, Saltford.

Families, friends and foodies alike can join the two-day celebration with live music, a craft market and family-friendly activities, plus the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of quality food and drink.

Flourish opened in 2021 as a people and planet focused place to eat and shop between Bath and Bristol, offering fresh, locally farmed and made produce and a fantastic range of food, and later opened a Home & Lifestyle store with a dedicated space for arts and crafts workshops.

In 2023, Flourish opened a pottery painting barn with a wide range of paintable ceramics that has since delighted visitors of all ages.

Flourish managing director Paul Castle said, “This is the next step for us after nearly three years since Flourish opened. Each year we have continued to grow, and we look forward to bringing people together through great food and drink. It’s going to be a lot of fun for all ages, and we’re excited to host this event for the local community and beyond.”

The Flourish Food Festival will be free to enter and visitors can expect two days of foodie fun for all the family. Four-legged friends are also welcome – there’ll be dog-friendly suppliers as well as a dog show to show off your pampered pup.

Alongside food and drink from Flourish suppliers, the Flourish artisan craft market stallholders will come together to sell their handmade creations. The Flourish site at Glenavon Farm is at the heart of the community; the food festival will bring people together with a stage showcasing local musicians, workshops and family activities from nearby makers.

Flourish has teamed up with partner Cotswold Fayre Fine Foods who are supporting the festival with a huge range of fine food and drink suppliers who have the knowledge, passion and joy for high-quality products customers will enjoy. Ranging from small independent brands to household names such as Marshfield Ice Cream and Belvoir drinks, visitors will get the chance to meet the people behind the products as well as enjoy great food and drink.

Cotswold Fayre is celebrating its 25th birthday in 2024 and what could be a better way to mark the occasion than a food festival for the local community?
