News, events and schools' information for families across Bristol

The Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine is holding a series of free patient open evenings, available both face-to-face and virtually, allowing visitors to find out more about the treatments available. Free of charge mini consultations are offered with attendance at an open evening event. All events start at 6pm.

The open evenings will take place –

  • Tuesday 19th July General Open evening face-to-face
  • Tuesday 9th August Virtual Open evening
  • Wednesday 17th August General open evening face-to-face
  • Tuesday 6th September Virtual Open evening
  • Wednesday 28th September General open evening face-to-face

The open evenings allow visitors the chance to find out more about –

• What the BCRM does, how it can help you and how much it costs

• Your journey as a patient

• The laboratory team and the state of the art technology

• IVF, ICSI and IUI treatments

• Its success rates

• The use of its donor sperm services

• Its counselling and treatment support services

The face-to-face evenings will include a chance to tour the centre

During the Virtual Open Evenings, visitors will be given the opportunity to make informed progress toward building a family with the guidance of a fertility specialist – all from home. The virtual event includes a fertility education presentation by BCRM Medical Director, Consultant Gynaecology and Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine & Surgery, Ms Amanda Jefferys. There will able be the opportunity to ask questions during a Q&A session after the presentation and book a mini telephone consultation with a BCRM fertility expert after the event.

BCRM Medical Director and lead consultant Mr Valentine Akande

During the face-to-face open evening, visitors will be able to enjoy a fertility education presentation by fertility expert, BCRM Medical Director and lead consultant Mr Valentine Akande, tour the centre, ask questions and meet the renowned expert staff, including the consultant doctors, specialist fertility nurses and embryologists.
