St Brendan’s Sixth Form College is hosting a series of open evenings from 5pm-8pm on Thursday 13th October, Wednesday 16th November and Tuesday 31st January 2023.

These events provide the opportunity for potential for students and their parents/carers to get a feel for the college and the courses that it offers. Students and parents/carers get the chance to explore the campus which includes on-site cafes, gym, sports facilities, dance studio and along with meeting team of:

  • Course leaders
  • Academic Mentors
  • Teachers
  • Bursary / Transport support team
  • Student Ambassadors

These Open Events are the perfect opportunity for young people to figure out what subjects they are interested in and would like to study along with the chance to ask our staff questions about courses and to find out more the about pastoral and financial support we provide.

St Brendan’s Sixth Form College is the only specialist Level 3 provider in the Bristol/Bath/South Gloucestershire area and is an educational home to over 2,000 students. The college provides a diverse range of over 70 different A-level and Level 3 Applied General courses to 16 – 18 year olds, as well as bespoke programmes which focus on employability, critical thinking and other enhancement opportunities. Students are able to choose three subjects to study which can be all A-levels, all Level 3 or a mixture of the both.

In addition, the college has an Access to Level 3 programme for students who have the ambition to study at Level 3 but have not yet met the entry criteria to do so. Learners on this one-year pathway will study a bespoke timetable, equivalent to five GCSEs. The programme also provides opportunities for work experience.

As an educational institution exclusively for 16 – 18 year olds, teachers are experts in their field and the campus is designed specifically for young adults to enjoy. Inspired by university-style learning, post-16 students can find facilities from state-of-the-art science labs and inspirational art spaces, to county-standard sports facilities and vibrant social spaces; St Brendan’s aims to ensure all students enjoy an enriched post-16 education and are ready to take the next step towards a successful future.
