Families from across the Bristol area are being invited to take part in the 10 Bake Challenge, where you can test your baking skills and take on 10 exciting baking challenges set by the Southmead Hospital Charity – or choose your own – to raise money for your local hospital. Over 30 participants of all ages took part in the first 10 Bake Challenge last year raising over £10,000 for Southmead Hospital.
From cupcakes and chocolate cake to meringues and macarons, the 10 Bake Challenge is designed for bakers of all ages, whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience under your apron. Challenge yourself to 10 amazing bakes, asking your friends and family to donate in celebration of your creative efforts.
Last year, over 30 bakers of all ages and abilities took part in the flagship baking fundraising event Bake Well: 10 Bake Challenge. Together they raised over £10,000, ‘baking’ things better for patients, staff and families at Southmead Hospital.
And now the 10 Bake Challenge is back for an extra slice and we’re calling on bakers old and new to step up to the challenge and make it even bigger, better and tastier than before.
What’s involved?
Here’s the chance to take on 10 delicious new baking challenges and get sponsored for your creative efforts. Choose to take them on alone or as a team, or with the whole family and encourage some friendly competition, hold a cake auction or bake sale – there are many ways you can raise some dough for Southmead Hospital.
Pick your big 10 from our variety of sweet and savoury challenges including a show-stopping choux tower, picture perfect pie, an astounding anti-gravity cake or come up with your own challenges.

- Complete the final challenge and receive your exclusive 10 Bake Challenge certificate, certifying you as a Star Baker.
By ‘baking’ things better for Southmead Hospital, you will help to fund state-of-the-art equipment, pioneering research and other vital projects that will have a huge impact on the dedicated staff and the patients in their care during these incredibly difficult times.
