The Downs Preparatory School in Bristol celebrated Odd Socks Day on Monday 14th November, as part of Anti-Bullying week. Odd Socks Day marks the start of Anti-Bullying Week where schools across the country hold events to raise awareness of bullying, with many raising money to support the work carried out by the Anti-Bullying Alliance.
“Odd Socks Day is wonderful, fun and provides a great reminder that everyone is different and equal,” said Deputy Head, Mr O Elliott. “At The Downs, we celebrate our differences, respecting each other’s interests, background and skills so we can support each other to be the very best version of ourselves.
“The Downs School is, like the world around us, increasingly diverse. Odd Socks Day was a brilliant opportunity for us to explore the principals of diversity with the whole school.”
