Wells Cathedral School is offering a variety of scholarship opportunities to students aged 12-16 years. The scholarships cover a range of subjects, featuring Academic, All Rounder, Art, Drama, Specialist Music, Specialist Mathematics and Sport Scholarships.

“Every year we award a number of scholarships to recognise current and potential talent in a wide variety of fields,” explained Head Master, Alastair Tighe. “In addition to a financial award, our Scholars receive enhanced educational opportunities and privileges to help them develop their talents.

“Our All Rounder Scholarships recognise exceptional pupils who excel in more than one area and achieve high academic results. With regards to our Music Scholarships, we encourage talented young musicians to audition for our Specialist Music Scheme which provides for both specialists as well as general musicians. Successful applicants may be awarded one of two different types of Music Scholarships: the Music and Dance Scheme (MDS) grant funded by the Department for Education (DfE); and our own Music Scholarships. Please visit our Music Scholarship website https://wells.cathedral.school/music/#musicscholarship for more details.”

Wells Cathedral School’s Scholarships are open to pupils looking to join in Years 7, 9, 10 and 12. The school also welcomes applications from current pupils who are progressing into Years 7, 9 and 12.
