News, events and schools' information for families across Bristol

The countdown has begun for Bristol Walk Fest 2024, and organisers are inviting individuals and local groups to help make this year’s festival bigger and better than ever before by submitting their events.

Bristol Walk Fest is an annual festival between 1-31 May showcasing the best of Bristol for everyone to enjoy with inclusive walks taking place across the city for people of all ages, interests and abilities.

Last year an incredible 612 walking events took place and this year festival organisers are hoping for an even larger spread of events.

Karen Lloyd, Bristol Walk Fest Manager, is encouraging individuals and local groups to take part and sign up to a walking event. “Bristol Walk Fest is for everyone and anyone who’d like to see and explore more of Bristol. In the last few years interest in the festival has grown and our events have diversified, we’re encouraging people from all communities to a walking event in their neighbourhood.”

As a part of the festival, Bristol Walk Fest produce a printed programme and online calendar to feature the walks and events taking place during the festival. The walks are curated into distinct themes and past walks have included guided walks, tours, talks, workshops, family events, taster sessions and much more.

If you would like to feature a walking event in the official programme, please complete the provider registration form by Friday 23 February. Any late submissions can still be included on the website, but cannot be published in the programme.
